Wow, I have not thought of those swan boats in a long time. I think they did run on an underwater track. There were mini speedboats too. When I was like 5 or so, in 1963, yea I'm old, my cousin Angie worked on the boardwalk driving the tram cars and my mom and her mom would go to the Asbury beach all the time. I remember walking through a tunnel under the boardwalk to get onto the beach, I'm sure that is long gone. Anyway, I would ride on those tram cars with Angie driving while picking up people thinking I was hot shit riding in the front seat. We would stop at the Orange Julius stand.... Ahhhh what memories. Thanks

They had pedal boats, too. And the frozen ice cream stand, Kohl?. They have one in the Freehold mall but it just doesn't taste the same. How about the Planter's Peanut Store? There was also a hot dog place that had the best french fries with malt vinegar.

yeah, I don't remember any of the food stuff. Just those boats. Looking in that book you gave me (Asbury Park's Glory Days), it looks like there were motorboats that went around the outside edge of the lake, separated from the rest of the lake by a track, and the swan boat went in the middle.

Grams your memories sound like Seaside Hights boardwalk? They have fries with malt vinegar and a Kohl's custard stand.
I hear so much about Asbury's glory days.....Sound's like it was really nice, not to mention fun.
Mom, Dan and I went down for Diner before I left for Utah, They had the Carousel re-pained and all lit up, it was really nice.

My favourite memory of Asburby Park was when I read about it on your blog once and then I looked at the Wikipedia entry!
I remember talking to you like a year ago about Warhammer Online. Just thought I'd tell you we'd be playing destruction if you ever want to give the game a shot and don't play with Shadow Gypsies.
I'm working at EA again in marketing and my boss and another colleague were down at Nintendo of America a few days ago. My friend complained that it was dissapointing and not as close to magical as he had imagined. He liked the museum though.

What's up Gaj!
Yeah, we tend to keep the magic hidden. Most visitors can't go anywhere cool. Sorry we didn't have anyone in the Mario suit - it only fits a person under 5'2".
I could have met up with your coworkers, but I was probably hiding in the lounge playing Boom Blox!
It feels like WHO will never come out. I've been talking with a few coworkers about playing - who knows if I will follow through.

Warhammer has a set release date of Sept 18. That's not far away at all!
It's kind of funny to me that Nintendo employees spend their time playing an EA Wii game. Score one for the evil empire! We don't have Marios but we have storm troopers.
